Publisher and Art Director
A creative type who strives to put the spotlight on her community and let their voices be heard, Janese Maricelli is the proud founder and publisher of Culture Clash Magazine. With over 17 years of hands-on experience in Talent Management, Sales, Marketing, and Graphic Arts, she brings a youthful yet knowledgeable approach to both her magazine and her full-service design business: JanMar Agency. Janese and her crew at JanMar Agency make magic, including badass magazines!

Sara Beshai
Lead Designer
Sara is an aspiring Galveston local with a passion for projects of interaction and brand design that unifies our community. Along with her B.F.A. in Design from the University of Texas at Austin, she has curated projects that have the central theme of highly conceptual and intentional functionalities. Sara adds a youthful and outer perspective to our agency in her work and strategies.

Jessica (Jess) Safavimehr
Managing Editor
Jessica is a Texas-based writer and editor with a rich background in publishing and media, including roles at FANGORIA, Hearst, The Knot, and Static Media, where I fine-tuned editorial operations and launched creative projects like the FANGORIA podcast network. She and her husband travel full-time in our Class C RV with our three dogs and a cat. Follow Jess at @jessicasafavimehr on IG!

Krista Ruiz

Krista is Galveston born and raised, so community isn’t just something she works for, it’s who she is. She brings a decade of experience in creative marketing and content writing. Currently earning her Bachelor’s in Marketing from the University of Houston–Clear Lake, she blends strategy with creativity that connect, inspire, and reflect the heartbeat of Galveston.

Jaime Villamil
Marketing/Digital Assistant
Jaime Villamil is a Business major at Galveston College with a passion for creativity, community, and visual storytelling. From digital content and event promotions to life behind the camera, Jaime loves bringing ideas to life in ways that connect and inspire. As part of the Culture Clash team, he brings an energetic, hands-on approach to every project. When he’s not creating, you’ll find him swimming, exploring new places with friends, or building new connections that spark his next big idea.
